I am a food blogger, so it’s fair to assume that I whip up magazine worthy three-course meals on a daily basis. But if I’m being 100% honest with you guys, that isn’t always the case. In fact, most of the time, I’m looking for ways to spend a little less time in the kitchen in the evenings.
Chris gets home from work and the last thing I want to do is spend two hours in the kitchen preparing a meal. The less time I have to spend and fewer dishes I have to dirty, the happier this pregnant momma is. The tricky part is always coming up with quick, wholesome meals that I feel confident serving my family. And when Chris suggests pizza for the 3rd time in one week it about makes my stomach turn.
So, I’ve been on a quest to find quick and easy wholesome dinner options that are perfect for our busy summer schedules. And, beneath the fluorescent lights of Walmart’s frozen aisle, in the mix of freezer entrees, I have found my saving grace: STOUFFER’S® FIT KITCHEN™ products. They have no artificial flavors, contain quality wholesome ingredients, and have at least 25g of protein in each individual meal. Now now, I can hear you saying, “You’re kidding us. A real meal from the freezer?” And I’m telling you, you have to ‘taste fit to believe it’. These do not taste like your typical microwave dinner: rubbery and only good with a whole bottle of ketchup. No no, these taste like a home cooked meal that you can be proud to dish up and serve to your family and friends.
I picked up two of each of these new varieties: STOUFFER’S® FIT KITCHEN™ Sweet and Smoky BBQ Beef, and STOUFFER’S FIT KITCHEN™ Teriyaki Chicken. One of the big selling points for me was the flavor choices. I knew I could serve these to both Chris and Sydnee without backlash. So, when I got home and Chris had made already made plans take our new RZR out in the hills, I was happy to announce that dinner would be ready in a few minutes and that we would have the entire evening to spend outside. Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen meals are the perfect weeknight meal during the hectic summer months. I love that I don’t have to turn on my oven and add heat to my already uncomfortably warm home.
They also make an excellent lunch when I’m in a hurry. I don’t have to take time away from playing with my daughter or working to go cook a hearty lunch. I just pop a Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen meal in the microwave for about 6 minutes total, sit down and eat, and then throw away the packaging. Easy to cook and easier to clean up.
If you want a quick and easy wholesome dinner option, pick up some Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen meals. Visit the frozen aisle at your local Walmart, and locate them near the other frozen entrees. Also, be sure to check out the Stouffer’s Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest channels.
