Take me back to 2003; I was just a teenagers waltzing around the mall with my girlfriends, sipping on an Orange Julius. I had no problem spending $4 on a sugar-laden shake, but scoffed at the idea of spending $15 on a clearance camisole from Vanity.
Fast forward to today. I am much more of a stickler when it comes to spending money on drinks, because the majority of them are full of empty calories and can be made at home for a lot less. But on the other hand, I have picked up a sick addiction to high priced basketball shoes and jeans with fancy butt pockets. Priorities change. For all my shoe lovers, I’m eagerly awaiting the KD 9’s; they are slick as F%*K!
This all stems back to the fact that I have been craving an Orange Julius. Pregnancy craving #943. The bad news is that living in the middle of a region stuck in the 1980s lacks anywhere to get one of these heaven sent concoctions. The good news is that there’s nowhere to get one these sugar packed concoctions.
Bring forth the trusty blender, some store bought ingredients, and a little creativity.
I have flipped the nutrition-lacking shake into a protein packed powerhouse, with all the flavor of an original Orange Julius. The Orange Julius Protein Shake! I feel like I’ve made fire for the first time. This is my new go-to morning shake without a doubt.
