Prep these Pineapple Banana Green Smoothies over the weekend and you’ll have a quick and healthy smoothie that only takes a minute to blend up during the work week.
I love waking up, having a cup of coffee, and then following up with a fresh, delicious smoothie. I’ve been a major fan of green smoothies for quite a while now, and have experimented with multiple add-ins and recipes. But, let’s be honest; I like to keep things simple.
You aren’t about to find me heading out to some fancy specialty food store for exotic fruits and ingredients. I would have four years ago, but not now. Not after two kids.
Now, you’ll find me doing my shopping online and at local grocery stores. The point is, this recipe is made from easy to find, easy to prep ingredients, and it’s still just as fabulous, if not better, than some of the smoothies made with rare fruits and seeds from Mars (or wherever they come from).
You will see that I’ve included Activa Naturals Green Super Food as one of the ingredients. I paired up with them to bring you this post, and I wouldn’t include it if I didn’t think it was an awesome addition to this smoothie. For one, it contains quality ingredients like probiotics, digestive enzymes, and antioxidants. It has no fillers or chemicals, it’s vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
You can get Free Shipping on every order when you order through the Activa Naturals website, or you can order on Amazon. Also, be sure to check out their Blog, which is 100% product link free. It’s there for useful information, even if you aren’t a customer. How cool is that?
How to Prep 2 Weeks of Green Smoothies in 15 Minutes
First: Buy your ingredients. There aren’t too many, and this makes 12 smoothies.
- 12 small freezer bags
- 1 whole pineapple
- 6 bananas
- 6 cups spinach
- Activa Naturals Green Super Food
- Milk of choice
- Plain Greek Yogurt (optional)
Second: Cut the pineapple into small chunks and set aside. Then peel and cut each banana in half and set aside.
Lastly: Put 1/2 cup of spinach in each bag, followed by 1/2 a banana, 1/2 cup pineapple and one scoop Activa Naturals Green Super Food. Seal each bag and place in the freezer.
When You’re Ready for a Smoothie: Simply dump the contents of one bag into a blender, add 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup greek yogurt (optional), and blend until smooth. You can also add in protein powder to make your smoothie a complete meal replacement.
