Welcome to For the Love of Crust!
You will find a wide array of posts on my site, but for the most part, you will find quick and easy recipes with simple ingredients and instructions perfect for moms who know that life is busy enough without a four-course meal.
Take your seat because you are in for a wild ride. Just when you thought all you needed was a recipe, you will be drawn into a family inspired post with organic humor and blatant honesty. And when you are finished there, you’re welcome to download a free, at-home workout. Need some cleaning or beauty tips? There’s no need to go back to Google. I got you.
Motherhood isn’t just changing diapers, making lunch, and teaching your child the alphabet. It’s finding yourself, embracing change and sometimes surprise, mastering planning and organization with room for flexibility, having fun and making time for yourself, and so much more. But motherhood doesn’t have to be overly complicated. It should be just the right amount of challenging with a heaping bowl of enjoyment. That’s what this blog is here to accomplish.
I fully embrace the phrase: “Jack of all trades, master of none.”

My name is Erin, and I’m the owner of For the Love of Crust– my first ever non-Blogger website. I’ve had a passion for writing since the Second Grade when our class was asked to write a short Halloween story. We were still writing on those penmanship pages with the really wide rule and the dashed line down the center. Most kids were scribbling a page or two– I don’t remember the requirements, but everyone else was more excited to design the cover of their book. I was, and am, inside out. I wrote 28 pages worth of pure-second-grade gold and made a plain cover with my only my title and a pumpkin sketch. Later on at parent-teacher conferences, my teacher told my mom I was destined to be a writer.
Since the days of bowl cuts and poofy shoulder dresses, I have been drawn to freelance writing, creating blogs on free platforms, and writing short stories to feed my deep desire to be creative with words. I still dream of being the next J.K Rowling, but with a full-time job, online classes, a wild child at home, and all the other trials of adult life, I have deferred my dream to a later date.
Now, I enjoy writing from experience. Whether it be pregnancy, parenting, relationships, health, failed/successful recipes, or creative craft ideas, I have a strong desire to share what I’ve learned in my 20-some years of life, in hopes that it will help or inspire someone else.
My inspiration for starting this site and holding true to my word that I would better the world through writing (in one way or another) are my daughters, Sydnee and Octavia. She has inspired me to stand apart from the rest of crowd and believe in myself when self-doubt was looming.
